Five Fish Bistro | Gluten Free Fish and Chips in Seattle | Capitol Hill

January 17, 2012 Seattle Gluten Free Capitol Hill, Restaurants 4 Comments

An interesting email made its way into my inbox this morning….

A newly opened restaurant in Capitol Hill – Five Fish Bistro – is holding a grand opening on February 7th. With that comes the exciting news that they will have a gluten free option for their Fish & Chips. I have made many trips to Portland and enjoyed gluten free fish and chips there, but I can’t say I have found a spot in Seattle to find Gluten Free Fish and Chips. Five Fish Bistro will also carry a gluten free beer, I would venture to guess that it will be redbridge but we’ll see.

Just so you know: Fifty North across the street from U. Village has GF fish and chips. using a dedicated GF deep fryer. … They’re only OK, but that restaurant does go to some great effort to accommodate GF-ers. … As does our favorite place, Tango, on Cap. Hill, which has a dedicated GF menu. (You still have to be sure not to order things that go into the fryer, such as their onion strips that garnish the steak), as it’s not GF-only.

Thanks Ami! I had heard they carry GF fish and chips at 50 North, but haven’t made it out there yet. I definitely have to try Tango as well.
